Dear Parents and Caregivers

For the next six months of Ordinary Time within the church, we will be reading from the Gospel of Mark. Surprisingly in the Gospel this Sunday, Jesus says something amazing. As he sits teaching, surrounded by a large group of people all from different places, families and backgrounds, all eager to hear what he is teaching them about God, he tells them that he counts each one of them as a member of his family – God’s family!

Dear Parents / Caregivers,

It is difficult to comprehend that we are midway through the term. Where has this time gone? We give thanks to God for the changing of the Seasons. We may not enjoy the colder weather, but it is part of the cycle of life. During June and July, St Vincent de Paul hold their Winter Appeal.

Dear Parents and Caregivers

Winter already! The year is flying by and it’s nice to know there is a long weekend on the horizon.

Chocolate boxes have now gone out, you should all have a box unless you opted out or chose to donate. Thanks to everyone who is participating, it’s a vital fundraiser for the school with all money going towards classroom and playground resources for our children. More boxes are available at the Bridge St office if you would like to participate or are able to sell more. Remember that you can pay via QKR (so very easy) or at either office, all money is due back by Friday 22 June. Happy selling!

I invite you to make a time to meet with your child’s class teacher/s for a Learning Conversation.

These conversations provide an opportunity to meet with your child’s teacher/s and discuss academic, social, day-to-day skills or the individual needs of your child. Together with the class teacher, this is an opportunity to discuss plans for your child’s learning as the year continues.

The Reception, Year 2/3 White and Year 5 Gold students came together at Borthwick Park for a Nature Play Excursion. The students enjoyed spending time with their Buddy, exploring throughout the park and creating nature art.

Last week we celebrated Catholic Education Week with activities across the school.

The Reception children experienced daily chores from Jesus' time - including grinding flour, juicing grapes and washing clothes using rocks.
